Our Coffee Farm Adapt to Climate Change
World needs, ecosystem-friendly farming systems for sustainable agriculture
We understand about climate change that is happening and threaten life in the world, We do our best to make every effort so that our coffee trees can adapt to it, even we do mitigation efforts using the 'shade-grown coffee farms' method, which provides many positive benefits not only to the coffee farm and its environment even to the global ecosystem.
Compared to the vegetable farmers around us who often clear the land to grow vegetables repeatedly, and not allow the presence of trees around it, we prefer to cultivate coffee plants that are proven to be strong and resistant to pests and weather, environmentally friendly and able to adapt to climate change.
Some of the efforts we have made to realize the above are as follows:
Environmentally Friendly:
-
No damage to the land, we only dig up an area of one hand span to plant only one coffee tree seedling
-
Use a lawn mower and plant certain types of plants that can control weeds
-
Plant many shade trees to shade coffee trees and function as erosion barriers and water source providers.
-
Do not use pump wells, but rather water sources from springs around farms
Selective:
-
use coffee seeds that have been certified by the government
Efficiency:
-
Using organic compost and fermented organic liquid fertilizer made from ingredients around farms
Eco-friendly:
-
Using organic pesticides from companies that specialize in producing organic agricultural materials
Organic Coffee Farm

Planting trees offsets harmful carbon emissions—helping Nespresso achieve its goal of carbon neutrality—and helps coffee farming families build sustainable futures by improving soil quality and ensuring long-term quality coffee production.
This is the need of the present day. There is an urgent need to develop farming techniques, which are sustainable from environmental, production, and socioeconomic points of view. The means to guarantee sufficient food production in the next decades and beyond is critical because modern agriculture production throughout the world does not appear to be sustainable in the long-term. The agricultural community is thus setting it hopes on sustainable agriculture, which will maintain the cycles of input-output and ecosystem balance.

Shade-grown Coffee Farms Method
We planted many shade trees such as avocado, jack-fruit, surian, bamboo, sugar-palm tree, others.
Trees provide an array of ecological services that offer both direct and indirect income and payback to farmers and the environment.
There are many facts that prove to be very good with the many trees we planted: Able to adapt to the effects of climate change/carbon sequestration, able to protect coffee plants from wind, extreme drought and heavy rain; Improved bird habitat, soil protection/erosion control /reforestation, natural pest control and as well as conserving water resources.
Natural Hot Spring Harmony: Sustainably Nurtured Coffee from our Eco-Green Plantation
Nestled within the heart of our eco-green coffee plantation lies a commitment to sustainability that starts at the source – a pristine natural water spring. The lifeblood of our thriving plantation, this crystal-clear spring not only quenches the thirst of our coffee crops but epitomizes our dedication to environmental harmony. Flowing untouched through lush landscapes, it nourishes the soil without the need for artificial irrigation, fostering a symbiotic relationship between nature and cultivation. Our beans are imbued with the essence of this untouched water source, ensuring that every cup brewed is a testament to the harmonious coexistence between our coffee and the environment. In the embrace of this eco-friendly oasis, we cultivate not just coffee, but a conscientious commitment to preserving the delicate balance of the earth.

What we Do..
The ripe fresh red coffee is harvested selectively by hand in the morning. In less than 24 hours cherries must be processed immediately by peeling the outer skin and pulp using a pulping machine. Cherry is sorted for their quality.
Cherry - 'Sigararutang' varietal
Washed / Gabah

Cherry fruit is harvested, after peeled then the coffee beans are washed with clean running water until the mucus is gone, the coffee beans are fermented and sorted by soaking in water for 24 hours or more, then sun-dried until they have water content +/- 12.5%.
Green-bean / Beras

After the washed coffee is dried, the coffee beans are stored for 1-2 months in jute sacks in a dry warehouse before being exported. Before selling, washed-coffee that has been stored, peeled the layer of parchment first with a huler milling machine, then sorted with a filter for premium or regular quality.
